January 2007 Recap Part 1
January 28th, 2007 by thepastmasterhmmmm, looking back to my older posts, i only posted once a month, right? hehehe.. maybe i should do it more, and with better ideas of course.. writing could be more fun, i suppose…
MY MOMENTS ON JANUARY (for much i can remember) :
1. New Year :
actually, the plan was that me and the whole dad’s big fam gonna celebrate it at grandma’s crib, but later on, my sis prefered to take the time with her pals at home.. so, me-sis-bro-dad-mom couldn’t be at the same place together at the moment.. mom decided to accompany sis at home.. dad and bro stayed at grandma’s crib, coz ‘lil bro really wanted to play with his siblings.. me? on the last afternoon of 2006, i decided to take the travel back to bandung, arrived there at ’round 7, took a bath, gettin’ ready, and then.. straight to some chill out small cafe named degrey, with my best dudes in the world! accompanied with punkcoustic greenday’s warning tracks by the maut feat. ojooooo, together we ended 2006, there, with full of joy, and of course, hopes for the next year.. apres!ers! love u all!
wait, wait.. this new year story ain’t over yet.. after ruining degrey with our over-excitement (as usual, hahaha!!!), me and the rest of those apres!ers left went to aryoioioio’s crib for a midnite bbq party! the steaks’re awesome! with all the accompanies such as (s)mashed potatoes, "real" homemade mushroom sauce, lemonades, bitterballens, self-service tag-team grill, smokes everywhere, barbarian hand-grabbed bites for those sirloins, and some lil’ sneak peeks of aryoioio’s si*t*r (hahaha!!!).. the party ended at ’round 3.30.. with sauce-garnished and smoke-scented shirts, we all went home then…
2. Bali Holiday :
after the final exam’s over, a real holiday finally came.. from january 10th to 14th, my fam went to bali.. the best thing is that we stayed at hard rock hotel! instead of cozy, relaxing, homey impression like the others hotel try to offer, this fuckin’ hotel is soooo rock ‘n roll!! having a centerstage (like a bar) instead of lobby, with live music every nite (where else you can find somethin’ like it??), artist-signed guitars sticked on the walls, musical room-naming (such as blues, reggae, and others), a recording-studio, non-stop v-clips on hard rock channel in each room’s tv, a hard rock cafe (of course), and the best thing is a statue of the beatles posing "H E L P" on the top of the hotel building! (like all you guys know, i’m a beatle-freak!).. staying there made me lazy to be lazy, stayed static on the bed felt bad…
where i went? GWK, too bad the project’s stopped, lack of fund-raisers i heard.. if this project is gonna continue and finished later, sure it’ll be great, a signature of indonesia, like france for its eiffel tower.. barong and keris dance, whoa! it’s my first time seeing this show! the costumes were great, and the players did the job well also, amazing! legian, after the bomb.. the difference is the monument, and then? suicide glam + electro hell (+ the mini gig, too bad i went there not at the night, maybe i could see S.I.D. playing if i did..), where the hero dies and where the evil dance, they said (right bil?), the atmosphere is so punk-rock, i found lots of indie cd’s right there, for only idr 20.000 each (what?? is that true, never found that price for a cd in bandung.. quite cheap ey?), and yeah, bali’s indie scene is so punk-rock (eventhough not all the bands are good, some of ‘em also sucks! mautedanisthebestlah!!!).. and other usual places…
